Message from Training Director Patrick Crummey

As UN Society Training Director it is my job to ensure that all delegates from the University of Toronto are aware of the rules, procedures and atmosphere of the conference experience. The main goal of this society is to encourage the art and fun that is arguing, and it is my job to give you the member the tools to take advantage of a full Model UN activity. Training is important because it will prepare you for what to expect at a conference and thus give you the confidence that will allow you to bring home the awards.

Training takes place in three seperate sections. The first is dealing with rules and procedures. The second centers on resolutions and working papers, and finally the last training session deals with public speaking. If you choose to attend a conference there may also be training held with all those attending the same conference. This will allow you to co-ordinate reasearch, and hopefully help others so that UofT can clean house. Training is an intregal part of Model UN, therefore you are expected to attend the training sessions.  If you choose to ignore this policy the executive witholds the right to prevent you from attending a conference

Your trainers are all experienced muner's and have a set agenda so your sessions will be organized and enjoyable.  We are also open for disscussion about any MUN questions you may have, so please feel free to ask them.
